HOW PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER WORKS
PSP(s) process kicks off when a customer orders a product or service from a payment gateway-enabled merchant. The payment gateway performs a variety of tasks to process the transaction.
- Customer enters all relevant information and places order in the merchant's website
- The merchant's website encrypts and forward the information to (Eg: Navipay) payment gateway
- (Eg: Navipay) then redirects the user to the issuing bank page or a 3D securing page, for the transaction to be authorized
- The bank processes the transaction and returns the authorization response to (Eg: Navipay)
- (Eg: Navipay) forward the authorization response to the merchant accordingly based on reply from the bank
- Merchant notifies the transaction status to the customer
